The Equine Health Studies Program (EHSP), within the School of Veterinary Medicine on the Louisiana State University (LSU) campus, is the premier equine biomedical center in Louisiana and the Southern region. In the heart of the south, and nestled along the eastern bank of the Mississippi River, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine provides a 70-stall hospital that is haven for ill and injured animals. The EHSP was developed by and for Louisiana's illustrious $2.4 billion equine industry, and is dedicated to the health, well-being and performance of horses.
