Sequel New York has been a top nursery for New York-bred success stories and home of New York's premier stallion roster for over ten years and through three incarnations.
Established in 2000 by Sequel Bloodstock partners Becky Thomas and Lewis Lakin, the 223-acre Hudson farm opened as Lakland North. Becky and Lewis, who owned nationally-ranked Kentucky sire City Zip, bred New York-bred national Champions Fleet Indian and Behaving Badly and Grade 1 winners Rightly So, Giant Ryan and Unbridled Command.
After a hiatus of two years and inspired by the alternative gaming revenue, Becky and co-owner Dennis Narlinger reopened an upgraded facility in 2011 as Sequel Stallions New York. Of the 5 Grade 1 stakes winners born at Sequel, three - Giant Ryan (Freud), Franny Freud (Freud), and Rightly So (Read the Footnotes) - were sired by Sequel stallions.
Becky, Dennis and Team Sequel are proud to offer New York breeders this outstanding facility - already the home of 18 graded stakes winners/runners and are committed to serving their client's needs in every way.
