Belmont at the Big A

The ‘Belmont at the Big A’ meet was conducted by the New York Racing Association during September-October 2022  and September-October 2023 while Belmont Park underwent construction. NYRA announced plans to hold two more Belmont at the Big A meets in 2024 - one in spring and one in fall - as construction continues at the normal host venue. In 2024, the Belmont Stakes will be run at Saratoga Race Course as part of a racing festival from June 6-9.

The meet is held at Aqueduct, with dirt and turf races conducted and all of the usual stakes races held during the fall at Belmont shifted to the Queens, N.Y., track, including several Breeders’ Cup preps.
