Testimony
What I like about Thoroughbred Racing:
The photo finish....it's like a buzzer beater to win the game.
How I Became a Thoroughbred Owner:
Industry involvement but mainly through friends wanting to have fun.
Best Advice:
Try to use as many tools at your disposal to increase the chances of success and remember that the environment (trainer, jockey, etc) is a big influence but you can't beat the horses genetics.
Owner Bio

After a breeding season at Coolmore Stud in Ireland, followed by stints with leading trainers Paul Cole (U.K), Ivan Allen (Hong Kong) and Peter Ng-Bik Kuen (Hong Kong), I spent eight years at Arrowfield Stud in Australia as Stallion Nominations and Bloodstock Manager, part of the team that developed the careers of leading sires Redoute’s Choice, Flying Spur, Hussonet and Danzero. While I was there I planned the matings for leading racehorses such as Miss Finland, Mentality, Fashion’s Afield, Alverta, Road to Rock, Sunday Joy, Royal Purler, Miss Bussell, etc. I then went on to Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky, where for three years I was the director of their stallion division, managing the stallion careers of the likes of Unbridled’s Song, Forestry, Officer, Forest Danger, Northern Afleet and Southern Image as well as joint venture stallions Tiznow and Speightstown. In 2008, I returned to Australia to accept the post of national sales manager for William Inglis and Son, Australia’s leading Thoroughbred sales company. In 2009, I became the managing partner of Pedigree Consultants LLC. I was the co-creator of TrueNicks, the leading thoroughbred nicking service and was also a design partner of the Jockey Club Information System’s Pedigree Analysis Program. I am currently the CEO of Performance Genetics LLC, a Lexington, KY based thoroughbred genomic company.

I have owned horses for about 15 years now. I got in via a partnership in a horse with some close friends and we still race horses together today.
