Types of Sales
Stonehaven Steadings, a boutique, full service thoroughbred breeding and sales operation, offering select investment opportunites to outside investors, is located in the heart of the Bluegrass in Central Kentucky. We have a long tradition of raising and selling outstanding racehorses.
Services include public and private Sales representation and offerings, pre-sale inspections and appraisals, boarding, nominations and mating recommendations, breeding, raising, management, investment partnerships in mares, racehorses and more.
With over 35 years of experience, the current management has been raising thoroughbreds since the 1970’s. While maintaining breeding to sell as the primary focus, Stonehaven Steadings has taken several horses to the race track.
Part of the former Saxony acreage, many great thoroughbreds have been raised on this farm including Champions Fly So Free, Zizal, Arazi, Ajdal, and most recently, Shanghai Bobby, along with nearly 25% Stakes Winners to runners foaled, just to name a few. In 2012, Stonehaven was named KTOBA 2YO Champion Breeder of the Year.
